BMW offers two all-electric vehicles, the BMW i4 and the iX. When you choose an all-electric BMW, you get exclusive access to HOV lanes, even if you’re on your own. You also get to pay less for maintenance – considering your EV will never need an oil change or other combustion-engine repairs.

The plug-in hybrid models include the X5 xDrive45e, 330e Sedan, 530e Sedan, and 745e Sedan. With a plug-in hybrid from the BMW Group, you get the benefits of having a short-range battery for city driving and a combustion engine for longer trips.
The plug-in hybrid models come standard with all-wheel drive and a lower center of gravity thanks to the electric motors mounted over the axles. The maintenance costs on plug-in hybrids are also lower. Despite needing oil and filter changes, they need them less frequently than traditional gas-powered vehicles.
