Introducing The BMW i7 Electric Sedan
At BMW of West Springfield we are proud to feature the collection of BMW electric vehicles, especially the upcoming 2023 BMW i7. This exquisite model adds an emissions-free powertrain to the 7-Series while maintaining the luxurious collection of features drivers expect. With the 2023 i7, BMW is redefining the full-size luxury sedan with the impressive powertrain and high-tech driver-assistive features.
Built On The Existing 7-Series Platform
Unlike other automakers, BMW is crafting its electric vehicles on pre-existing platforms. The 2023 i7 has an electric powertrain set atop the 7-Series platform. Since 1977, BMW has offered this exceptional full-size sedan as the flagship model with several combustion engine powertrains like a V8 and V12.
The 2023 i7 will continue to look like the flagship 7-Series, but it will have a 4.3-inch high-voltage battery pack installed on the vehicle’s floor. The battery pack powers two electric motors that give the i7 standard all-wheel drive.
The powertrain delivers 536 horsepower and 549 lb-ft of torque from the dual-electric motors. Like most EVs, the i7 is quick off the line, reaching 60 MPH in 4.5 seconds.
The i7 comes with a 101.7-kWh battery pack with a range of 300 miles. With a DC fast-charging system, the i7 reaches 80 miles of range in 10 minutes. BMW owners can use the US-based Electrify America charging stations for free for three years.
Luxurious And High-Tech Features
On the inside, the 2023 i7 comes with luxurious features drivers expect from a full-size, flagship sedan. With the My BMW download, drivers can use their smartphone’s BMW Digital Key Plus as their i7 key. The i7 also greets drivers with its “Great Entrance Moments” as part of the infotainment system, which is a curved BMW display that includes the 12.3-inch instrument panel and 14.9-inch infotainment system.
Buyers can choose an optional rear-seat 31.3-inch roof-based theater screen with an 8K Amazon Fire TV and a 5.5-inch display, along with an 18-speaker audio system.
The interior features include supple leather upholstery, wood-grain features, and ambient lighting. Exterior styling features resemble the latest gas-powered 7-Series but with high-tech touches that show it’s a fully-electric car.
